Dr. Wesley Pinnock Bio

r. Wesley Pinnock, a Bible expositor, is the pastor and founder of the fast-growing multicultural True Light Fellowship Church in Philadelphia, PA., which was founded in 1995.

Before entering the pastorate, Dr. Wesley Pinnock worked as a dental technician for 23 years both in Jamaica and the United States. He is a graduate of McCarrie School of Science & Technology (1970), Westminster Ministerial Institute (1977), and Geneva College's (Center for Urban Theological Studies) from which he graduated with a BA in Biblical Studies (1983). He continued his studies at Westminster Theological Seminary, graduating with an M.A.R. (1985) and a D. Min. (1990).

Dr. Pinnock's pilgrimage in the ministry began in 1971 with the Outreach Ministries of the Deliverance Evangelistic Church where he served with the street evangelism ministry. In 1973 he was appointed to teach the youth of the church and was ordained as an associated minister in 1977. Further growth in the ministry led to his being appointed Director to the Ministerial Board of Deliverance Evangelistic Church. This board evaluates candidates who are aspiring to the ministry. In 1981, Dr. Pinnock was appointed Associate Pastor of the church; he was assigned the task of conducting the early morning worship service. He served faithfully in this position for approximately fourteen years. During this time, the service experienced tremendous growth, from an original group of seventy-five people to approximately fourteen hundred people in 1992. In his capacity as associate pastor he did extensive Biblical counseling for parishioners and others in need of help and guidance. In addition to these duties, Dr. Pinnock also served as the Director of the Deliverance Evangelistic Bible Institute, and as Chairman of the following boards and committees: the Ministerial Board, the Counseling Ministry, the Scholarship Committee, Vice President of Hope Plaza Shopping Center. He also served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. In addition to these he is a former lecturer in Practical Theology at Westminister Theological Seminary.

Dr. Pinnock presently serves as Chairman of the administrative board of the True Light Fellowship Church, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Urban Theological Studies (CUTS), a member of the Board of Trustees for Geneva College, a member of the Board of Directors of CityNet and a member of the Board of Trustees for the City of Philadelphia Prison System. He also teaches in the Lead M. Div. Program at Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA.

Dr. Pinnock resides in Dresher, Pennsylvania with his wife of
32 years, the former Millicent Williams, who is also a native of
Jamaica. They have two young adult sons, Wesley Dale and
Duane Paul. Mrs. Pinnock is an avid supporter of her husband's ministry, an encourager, and an intercessor who loves the Lord.
